

Fermin Rocha Rios passed away on Monday, June 27th, 2011 at Hemet Valley Medical Center. He was born to the late Esteban and Antonia Rios on January 22, 1926 in Redlands, CA. At the age of 18, he enlisted in the USMC. As a Corporal in the USMC during World War II assigned to D Company, 2nd Battalion, 28th Marines, 5th Marine Division, He was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received at the Battle of Iwo Jima. He lived most of his life in Santa Ana, CA and resided in San Jacinto. He is preceded in death by his son Fermin Milan Rios Jr; Grandson Harvey Milan Rios Jr.; Great-grandson Manuel Romero. He is survived by his wife of 46yrs. Raquel J Rios; sons: Ernie Milan Rios Sr. (Martha); Harvey Milan Rios Sr. (Naomi); Step-children: Rosie Hardin (Clyde); Oscar Sanchez; grandchildren: Ernie M. Rios Jr.; Monique Magdaleno (Gabriel); Janet Rios Arvizu (Marco); Yvette Davis (Steve); Marklyn Rios; great-grandchildren: Vanessa Magdaleno; Anthony Rios; Thomas Rios; Adrianna Magdaleno; Rayleane Walker; Christina Magdaleno; Joshua Melendrez; Adriel Rios; Robert Rios; Samantha Davis; Abriem Rios; Jacob Melendrez; Jorden Melendrez; Steven Davis; Marco Antonio Arvizu; Marcelina Arvizu; Ryan Davis; great-great-grandchilren: Jayden Arrieta; Christian Arrieta; Isaiah Munoz ; Melody Rios; sister: Jenny Zamaro (Alfonso) and lots of nieces & nephews. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
