

Preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, her son Ramon "Monchie" Marin (Mary Lou) and grandson Derek (Maria) Escarcega. Florence is survived by her 7 children Elias (Leo) Aldama, Clara Escarcega, Gilbert (Joanie) Marin, Rose (Francisco) Ortega, Josie Arreola, George Arreola, and Joe (Brenda) Arreola, 21 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She lived most of her life in West Riverside (Belltown) CA. She went to school at West Riverside Elementary and University Middle School. At the age of 11, she worked in the fields with her father. In the 1940's, she worked as a riveter for Consolidated Royalty Aircraft. She also worked at The Royal and The Tip Top Laundry Services, and as a waitress in various restaurants. At any opportunity, she loved to go dancing, hosting parties, and cooking for her family and friends. Florence spent the majority of her life as a homemaker, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by all her loved ones and friends.
A visitation for Florence will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA 92504.
Open Visitation: 9:30am - 10:30am.
Rosary: 10:30am - 11:00am
Services: 11:00am - 12:00pm
Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 1:00pm to 1:30pm at Olivewood Memorial Park, 3300 Central Ave,, Riverside, CA 92504.
The reception will be held from 2pm - 6pm at American Legion Riverside Post 79, located at 2979 Dexter Dr., Riverside, CA 92501.
