Frank R. Werner

Beloved husband and father was taken from us suddenly on October 7th, 2014. Frank was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 2nd, 1927. He joined the Navy at age 17 and continued to serve his country in the United States Air Force for the next 25 years. A veteran of three wars – World War II, Korea and Vietnam – he received numerous medals and commendations throughout his distinguished career. After retiring, Frank worked for Johnson Machinery for the next 20 years.

A long time resident of Riverside, CA, Frank is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Antonia (aka Toni). He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother and oldest son, Stephen Werner; Teresa Romano (Dan) of Indialantic, FL; Fran Hasterok (Greg) of San Diego, CA; Christina Riley of Riverside, CA; Richard Werner (Karen) of Midlothian, VA; and James Werner of Austin, TX. He also leaves behind 8 beloved grandchildren, 3 foster grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Acheson and Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, Riverside, CA Wednesday, October 15th from 5-7 pm, with a Rosary at 6 pm; reception to follow. Mass of Christian Burial will take place October 16th at 10 am at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, followed by burial with full military honors, at Riverside National cemetery.
