OBITUARY

George Torres

February 22, 1946June 8, 2018

George Torres, 72, went home to be with the Lord on June 8, 2018. George was born in Salinas, Ca, on February 22, 1946, to Francisco Torres and Virginia Rosales. He was big brother to 3 sisters and 7 brothers.

After having served in the US Army, George married the love of his life Maria in 1971. During their 47 year marriage they became the loving and proud parents of Stephanie and Victoria, the loving in-laws of Ralph and Nic, as well as the loving and proud grandparents of Ralph, Joshua, Meghan, and Vivian.

We will always love and miss our son, husband, dad, grandpa, and friend. We will see you again.

John 14:1-4 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.”

Dear George,
As you work your way up to that great Veteran place up in the sky, save a seat for me. So when I get up there, all I have to tell the General “I know George Torres and he will say “go right in” , no waiting in line”.
George as the great Bob Hope used to say “thanks for the memories.” My fellow Veteran I salute you. May you Rest In Peace.
