GEORGE ROBERT WHEAT Age 83 yrs old, passed July 30. 2013 peacefully at home in Laguna Woods Ca. George was born July 29, 1930 Riverside Ca. Community Hospital. He graduated from Poly High School Class of 1949. Served honorably in the U.S. Coast Guard July 1951 to July 1954. Graduated from UC Santa Barbara 1958. He is retired from Title Insurance Business. He was a member of American Legion Newport Harbor Post 291. He loved boating and golf. George was preceded in death by father Orvie, mother Opal, and sister Barbara Borden. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Leanna, Nephews, Bob and Terry Thompson, and Dan Borden. Services will be held Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 10 am at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave., Riverside, Ca. 92504. Interment at Olivewood Cemetery 3300 Central Ave, Riverside, California 92506.
