A Legacy of Family, Faith, and Love
Gina Marie Thomas was deeply cherished by all who knew her—as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. No matter how one was connected to her, Gina had a remarkable way of bringing light, warmth, and fullness into every life she touched. Though the world feels dimmer without her presence, we hold fast to the memories she gave us and remain profoundly grateful to have been blessed by her life.
Gina was born on June 21, 1964, in sunny Southern California, where she was raised by her parents, Don and Marlene Burrows, alongside her brother, Rob. From an early age, Gina’s joy and spirit were evident. She cheered in high school and later pursued her love of music at California State University, Long Beach. It was during these formative years that she developed a deep appreciation for family and formed lifelong friendships rooted in loyalty, kindness, and love.
In 2001, Gina met the love of her life, Brady Thomas. They married in 2002, and together, they blended their families—Gina as a mother of three and Brady as a father of one—creating an instant and beautiful union. Gina lovingly described their family as “1 + 1 = 6,” a testament to the way she embraced and cherished each child as her own. Their joy grew even greater in 2004 when they welcomed a son together, making their family seven strong.
Gina was an extraordinary mother whose love for her children was unwavering and fierce. She gave of herself fully—helping with homework, cheering from the sidelines, and showing up each day with steadfast devotion. Through her actions, she modeled what it meant to love selflessly, parent faithfully, and live with purpose. Her deep faith was a guiding light in her life, strengthening her family and enriching her marriage. Her partnership with Brady was built on mutual love, respect, and true friendship, evident in every interaction. Above all else, Gina’s heart belonged to her family, and she devoted her life to nurturing, supporting, and uplifting them.
On March 20, 2025, Gina became a grandmother, a role she embraced with immense pride and boundless love. She wore the name “Mimi” as an honor, pouring her heart into this new chapter of her life.
Though we may never understand why Gina was taken from us so soon, we trust in the peace she has found and hold onto the hope that we will be reunited one day. While we long for more years filled with her laughter, warmth, and radiant smile, her love gives us the strength to carry on. We will honor her memory by celebrating her spirit and striving to live by the values she so beautifully embodied. Gina’s legacy of family, faith, and love will live on through each of us, now and always.
