Gloria Annette Chambliss Russell

Gloria Annette (Chambliss) Russell was born on January 1, 1941, in Beaumont, Texas. After graduating from college, she moved to Norco, California, where she began her career as an elementary school teacher.

In 1967, Gloria married James Russell, and together they moved to Riverside, California, where they raised their four sons. Gloria was a devoted wife and mother who cherished her family and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Gloria was very active in her church, Community Church of Norco, for many years. She and James served as the church's music directors, with Gloria sharing her love of music by playing the piano. She also served as the church secretary for more than 40 years, dedicating countless years of service to her church and community.

Gloria was passionate about making a difference in the world. She believed strongly in standing up for what she believed was right and was actively involved in petitioning and advocacy. Her compassion, determination, and unwavering faith were an important part of who she was.

Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Russell; her parents, Scotty Sr. and Mabel Chambliss of Beaumont, Texas; and her brother, Scotty Chambliss Jr. of Texas.

She is survived by her son, Randall Russell, and daughter-in-law, Stephanie Russell; her son, William Russell of Riverside; her son, Mark Russell, and daughter-in-law, Jackie Russell, of Hesperia; her son, Timothy Russell, and daughter-in-law, Veronica Hernandez Russell, of Corona; and her grandchildren, Marissa Russell, Morgan Ellerbeck, Kyle Russell, Brittany Rongey, Nathan Russell, Hailey Russell, Owen Russell, and Alley Russell. She is also survived by her great-granddaughters, Everleigh Rongey, Oakleigh Rongey, and Charleigh Rongey; her sister-in-law, Marcia Russell of Palo Cedro, California; and many extended family members and dear friends.

Gloria was a caring, loving, and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She had an unwavering faith in the Lord and lived her life with love, compassion, and dedication to those around her.

She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
