Guadalupe Alvarez

have a memory or condolence to add?

October 31, 2021

I sincerely apologize for my absence from either the viewing or the funeral mass of Mr. Guadalupe Alvarez. As an uncle through the marriage with Aunt Clotilde, I should have garnered the time and resources to make the trek south to Riverside County, CA, but responsibilities and obligations stymied my efforts to harness them. Regardless, I extend to the Alvarez-Campos family and to Clotilde my heart-felt, most sincere condolence concerning the death of such a great father, loving husband and caring grandfather named Guadalupe, but as the great General George Patton once remarked, "It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived." And so I shall thank God, All Mighty, that such a man named Guadalupe Alvarez lived, whose progeny are fine men and women of good moral character, great courage, and industriousness. Together with his wife, the celebration of their life is manifested by the actions, beauty, and talent of their children and grandchildren who continue and maintain the legacy of Mr. Guadalupe Alvarez, may he Rest in Peace. To the memory of Guadalupe and to his wife, children, and grandchildren, I salute you all and congratulate you for being a wonderful family whose presence here on earth, just like the butterfly-effect, has generated great good over all that is rotten and evil and terrible in this world.
