Mr. Isom was my adaptive P.E. teacher at Westminster High School in 1980.  He had a huge impact on my life from that point on through this present day.  He reached out to a kid with a messed up life,  as a teacher, a coach, and a friend and through  his example and encouragement he became a turning point in my life.  I will always be grateful to have been one of those lives he touched while on his earthly journey here with us. Mr. Isom, thanks for being there! 

Sad to see that you have left us. I played football for you at HBHS when you were 14-15 years younger than I am now. Hard to believe that I thought of you as an "old" man. You spoke to me near the end of my senior year while you were substituting for my regular history teacher, and told me that if I remained true to myself, I would do great things. I've never forgotten that and have done what you said. Wish I could have told you while you were still alive--I'll bet there are lots of others out there with the same wish.

Mr isom was my history teacher in high school. Graduated in 09' I'm so sorry I'm barely writing something but I just found out of his passing! My heart is hurting he was my favorite teacher and he never gave up on me. I would always call him a cowboy and he always had his funny jokes! Always with his cowboy boots, smiling from ear to ear and of course gotta love that mustache!! I hope to visit him soon! He will always be remembered. RIP MR. ISOM YOU WERE THE BEST. THANK YOU FOR NEVER GIVING UP ON ME WHEN ALL MY OTHER TEACHERS DID.

Glennda, my heart goes out to you and your family during this difficult time.  Howard was loved by so many people who's lives he touched. My WHS memories of him was of a gentleman, funny, and always had a smile on his face. I know your memories of him will live on in your heart. He was lucky to have you by his side to love and support him during his gallant fight against cancer. May God bless and comfort you and your family now and the future. RIP Howard.
