Imelda Cuevas Perez

Imelda dedicated 40 years of service to Kmart/Sears and later spent 10 years working as a caretaker for IHSS before retiring. She was a faithful member of FaithLife Christian Church for 35 years and, for the past six years, attended Connection Church.

Imelda found joy in trips to Laguna Beach, gardening, spending time with her family, and attending her grandchildren’s activities. She was special to so many. Her love was not just spoken, it was active and unconditional. She had a beautiful ability to see the good in everyone and modeled both strength and compassion. Her faith in God was steady and unwavering.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Ramon Perez, and her father, Gumaro Cuevas.

She is survived by her mother, Antonia Ultreras; her three daughters, Anna Perez-Gastelum, Marilyn Perez-Romero, and Yvonne Rangel; her sons-in-law, Jorge Romero and Jaime Rangel; her eight grandchildren, Luis Andrew Gastelum, Christopher Raymond Perez, Adryan Gastelum, Jorge Romero, Aryana Romero, Madison Rangel, MacKenzie Rangel, and Noah Rangel; and her two great-grandchildren, Aaliyana Gastelum and Aalayah Gastelum.

She is also survived by her siblings: Julia Adame, Brenda Guzman, Angelica Guerrero, Nora Frausto, David Cuevas, Gumaro Cuevas and Erika Murillo.
