James Daniel Lindsey, Jr. was born in York, AL to Mary Lindsey (née Donald) and James Daniel Lindsey. After graduating from high school, he joined the US Air Force which allowed him to travel all around the United States and various countries while he was enlisted. He later went on to work as a civil engineer for the City of LaQuinta.
Over the course of his life, James was actively involved in the community fostering many children with his wife Brenda Lindsey. James and Brenda took guardianship of several young men over the years and raised them as their own; this serves as a reflection of their commitment to each other as well as the children in their home. Together they raised their blended family and touched many lives. Being a no nonsense and dependable father was of the utmost importance to James and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving his wife and family.
In addition to his wife, Brenda Lindsey, children James (Kayla), Angie (Orlando), Autrey (Melissa), Nae (Timothy), Jordan, the tribe Tyree, Avonte, Kenneth, KiShon, and a host of grandchildren; James Daniel Lindsey, Jr. is survived by his sisters, Ruby Black, Faye Tamplin, Ann Wheeler, and Darlene Banks, and his brothers Joe Lindsey and Al Kirk Lindsey. In addition, many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He was preceded in passing by his mother, Mary Lindsey, and his father, James Daniel Lindsey.
