His dad was a pilot in WWII so the family moved several times to wherever his dad was stationed. James (Bruce) was around airplanes growing up and had a love for flying much like his dad. He became a pilot himself when he was married, and he and his wife would fly on day trips for sightseeing. He also enjoyed rock climbing and bicycling together with his wife.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Debra McCune his 2 sons David and Andy, and an older brother John and sister Beth both in Texas.
A graveside service for James will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 10:45 AM to 11:15 AM at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518.
