In the early morning hours of Sunday, April 23, 2017, Janice (Jan) Dehner-Diebold passed away peace- fully at her residence in Riverside, Ca. Janice had been battling cancer for nearly two decades. Janice was born on June 20, 1942 to Sherrill C. Dehner and Mary Louise Dehner (Downing) in Oil City Pa. Janice had worked as a bank teller, as a daycare mom, and, for over 18 years, as a special education teacher's assistant for the Riverside Unified School District. Janice was known throughout the community as a dedicated room mother, band mother, drill team mother and football booster for Arlington High School. Janice enjoyed cooking, cleaning, shopping with her daughters, dining at restaurants and spending time with her children. She was most proud of her 3 grandchildren, the pride and joys of her life. Janice loved her shih tzu Madison and spending time with her in their lavish backyard. "Mom D" will be fondly remembered by many. Janice was preceded in death by her husband John Sr., by both parents, and by her brother Sherrill C. (Duke) Dehner. Janice is survived by her sister Doris Richey of Rouseville, PA; one son, John Jr. of Riverside and his wife Jan; three daughters, Joan Dietzman of Riverside and her sons Dalton and Landon, Judy Schoonover of Moreno Valley and her husband Scott and their daughter Shelby, and Julie Diebold of Riverside, along with many friends and family.
