

Jerome D. Faler, an Army veteran and resident of Ontario, passed away on December 20, 2023 surrounded by family. Jerry, as he was known to many, also known as Mitt. Was born December 31, 1936 to Earl and May Faler in Nebraska City, Nebraska. He attended Nebraska City High School before enlisting in the U.S. Army. As a Specialist Third Class for the Army, Jerry was stationed in Germany and had lots of adventures while in the army. He proudly wore his Army hat every time he went out.
Jerome was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a Christian. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family. He was always there for his family and sharing the gospel with them. Jerome’s Christian faith was an essential part of his life. He was a hard working father doing anything and everything to support his forever growing family. His heart was enormous and always filled with love. So much love that he and his wife Martha became foster parents for years and made lasting impacts on many children lives.
Jerome was preceded in death by his wife, Martha, his parents, his sister Wilma, daughter Kimberly and step-son Greg.
Jerome survived by his brother Luke, sister Sally & brother Gerald. Children: step daughter Debra, Jay, Kevin, David, Stacy, Bethany, Benjamin and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside service for Jerome will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 10:15 AM to 10:35 AM at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA 92518. Following the graveside service will be a reception to follow from 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM at Riverside Baptist Church, 9015 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA 92503.
