Papa Joaquin was not only the greatest grandpa in the whole wide world as his Gordita would always tell him but he was also a great father, father in law, and friend anyone can ask for and have.
He was a humble, caring, thoughtful and loving Papa (list of adjectives is endless) to Rhylie and me. Papa Joaquin will forever be kept in our hearts. Although we will miss his smile, love, and caring ways; we take consolation in knowing that he is now resting in peace and will eternally watch over us.
Papa Joaquin was always very considerate and thoughtful in everything he did for us. The memories we have with him are endless. We will forever remember the times he would bring us breakfast every Saturday morning, when he would stop by unexpectedly just to drop off champurrado and cookies for his gordita, the endless conversations I had with him and moments we would joke around about, the sleepovers, but the best memory of all was watching him be the best grandpa to my angel Rhylie. If Rhylie could write her own memories, the list would be endless, she loves her Papa Joaquin very much! Rhylie already misses him picking her up from school and their trips to Baskin Robins after school. His Gordita will forever miss their tea parties she had with her Papa.
We love you Papa and we miss you so much! Thank you for blessing us with so many wonderful memories that we will forever cherish. Your guidance and love will carry us through till the end of time.

One of my favorite, most vivid memories with my grandpa was when Sabrina and I went to visit him for his birthday in 2019. I remember we had went that Sunday before his birthday, and grandpa was telling us about his morning at church and how he went to Norms after for breakfast. We had brought him his favorite pan dulce (from La flor de Jalisco in LP), and I bought him a University of La Verne Grandpa coffee mug. He was so happy, he made himself a cup of coffee with that cup right away, and then the three of us ate pan dulce and drank coffee together. It was the simple things like this that I will always cherish. My papa was one of the sweetest, most generous people on this earth. I hope heaven realizes how lucky they are, and I pray God continues to give my family and I strength and guidance during this tough time. Rest in paradise grandpa, I will miss you always. TE AMO MUCHO.
