John Elwood Donnally

The majority of his younger years were spent in Hover and Sunnyside Washington. John graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1956. Directly after graduation he went into the Coast Guard and was stationed in San Diego, California. Upon completion of his military term he went on to attend college.

John’s adult life was mainly spent living and working in Alaska. He the loved the outdoors, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

He was a member of Wasilla Bible Church and loved the staff and many friends he had made there. In early 2017 he retired from Elmendorf Air Force Base and soon after moved to California leaving behind many friends.

John is survived by his loving wife of 19 years Gaylia (Crabtree) Donnally. He also leaves behind his children, Joselle Campbell, Chris & Melissa Donnally and Steve & Lisa Donnally and step children John, Kate and Stephanie.

His gentle and patient spirit will also be missed by Gaylia’s children, Gordon, Cheryl, Randall and spouses and Ronnie, as well as several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.
