Jon Victor Lambelet, age 86, peacefully drew his last breath on September 1, 2021, in his home, surrounded by love. Jon was born on February 15, 1935 in Brock, Nebraska. At the age of 5 he moved to Ontario, California with his mother, Florine. He first danced with Joann in 1955, and they married soon after. Jon and Joann set roots in Riverside, Ca and raised three children, Debbie, Michael, and Pam. Jon had a passion for music, and was himself a musician playing mostly saxophone, though admittedly clarinet was his favorite instrument. Jon and Joann spent their time off of work traveling and camping in a trailer and later a motorhome, making countless memories with friends and family. Jon made a career of selling cars, and though he worked for a few different dealerships, his longest tenure was at Toyota of Riverside. Until his final days he was listening to his favorite music, and “talked shop” to any and all who visited.
Jon is most recently preceded in death by his mother, Florine Martin, his son, Jon Michael (Max) Lambelet, his brother in laws, Don Steinshower and Ray Gross. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joann Lambelet, his daughters, Deborah (Thomas) Telliard and Pamela (Glenn) Saquilon, his brother Thomas (Fran) Martin, his sister in law Dena Steinshower, several nieces and nephews, eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Considering Jon’s love of music, a very cool option would be to write a check to:
