Juana we miss you so much, i am so grateful and blessed to have had you in my life. Thank You for always being there for me and always encouraging me to never give up.  I love you. Thank You for being such a great grandmother to Jaden and Jason.  Can you please pull Jadens hankies when he’s being naughty for me haha :) We love you and miss you. 

To my favorite aunt Juana,  thank you for everything that you have done for me and my kids.  There is nothing in this world that I can say or do to express the love and appreciation that I have for you. You have helped me through so many things that it’s too much to write. I know I gave you a lot of headaches and stressed you out at times but I love you for everything that you put up with me. I love you and will miss you every day of my life. I will cherish all the wonderful memories that we have made together good or bad. I know you will be watching all of us and guiding us still.  I love you till we see each other again.

I usually don’t do these things but I felt like I had to this time. I saw that Juana was special in that she loved Anthony and her family and I felt special too when Anthony told me she remembered my birthday, that made her special in my eyes and I will remember her always on my birthday and now on her birthday because she was born on the second day of the month like me.She was a special lady 

Well my sweet, beautiful friend we’ve only known each other a short time but in that time you became a good friend. I started at Highland after working 12 years at another school  I of course was nervous to be going to a new site but you made me feel so welcomed  from day one! I loved our talks about our families especially our kids. You loved your kiddos ! You helped me through a tough situation I was going through just by listening. I thank you for that!  I moved on to another site last year and you always kept in touch and checked on me ! I’m so sad we won’t be able to meet up like we planned! I will always remember you like Leslie said how your shoes matched your outfits, your watches and your beautiful nails but most of all your smile! I will miss you but I’ll always remember you ! Growing up i knew I could count on you for anything or advice we would always have our talks about what’s going on u help me get through a lot of bad times u listen to what I had to say and gave me your opinion on a lot of things and not once did u ever judge me on anything  even as a adult I needed to talk to u about stuff and u where always there for me  you and Anthony made me who I am today  the good not the bad that was my choice lol your time here was cut short to short you had a lot of life to live you where one of the main pieces of this puzzle called life now that piece is gone and my puzzle will never be complete again I can’t except the fact that you are no longer here with us I wake up every morning hoping it was all a dream everyday is a struggle for me to get through the day knowing I can’t pick up the phone and call you or go over and see you  what hurts the most is I can’t ever see you get happy when I go to your house or get a big hug from you big hug from a small women lol I miss you so much more then words can explain I know your watching over us from a better place  me and xochilt miss you so much   I will see you on the other side  we love ve you mom .......... life is a beautiful lie and death is painful truth 

I remember the first day we met at Highland Elementary. I was so excited to start my new job and make new friends as I was new to Riverside. Your presence there that day was of Great knowledge, calm, peace, kindness as you cracked a little smile when I introduced myself.  I naturally gravitated towards you for guidance and you were so generous. I admired how you carried yourself with such professionalism and tenderness.  I loved how you always wore the cutest Nikes with every outfit, color coordinating everything you wore.  And your watches always match your outfits. I love that. You always had the prettiest long nails with all the pretty glitter and colors. I love how you loved the children at Highland and I love how you loved your own children and grandchildren. Because of you my son has a best friend in your grandson. And I love him like he’s my own. Your granddaughters Katie and Keira and your daughters Cindy and Jessica will always be in my prayers and will always be welcome in my home.
As I walk the halls of highland elementary especially by the kinder play ground I feel your presence there and I will always say hello and good morning to you because I know you are there. You left an impression on me and your essence is forever lasting.  I will carry it with me wherever I go.  I  will miss you my sweet friend and see you again with our father in heaven.  

I have lost my best friend. 
     I am proud that Juanita and I were friends. 
We worked together so well for many, many, many years. We always had each other's backs.
      We shared so many times together- good, bad, sad, and happy. I got to know her husband, children, and grandchildren.
       I will always cherish all of the the memories I have of her, especially the good times we shared -- even though she never shared her delicious recipe for crab salad with me.
       She will always be part of me and she will always be in my heart.
I miss her.

I remember Juana as a kind, soft spoken, giving, and calm woman. For a short time around the ages of 4-5 she seemed very present in the lives of our family. I remember on my 4th or 5th Bday we went to Chinatown to get my cake  at the ever nostalgic Phoenix Bakery. I remember her convincing my mom to let her buy my cake. After ordering, we walked around to the adjacent side shops and I fell in love with the cutest Hello Kitty platforms that lit up! I begged my mom for them and she told me they were cheap-wouldn’t last a day, lol! Juana told my mom, “she wants them-I’ll get them for her-it’s her bday” or something of the sort. She bought them for me that day, my first pair of “tacones” & I wore them all day!!! Through blisters, blood, & peeled skin. I even remember I tried to wear them to kindergarten but they said I couldn’t.
I also remember going over to “Gramma dat Cooks“ & whatever gramma had bought for her “lil Jo” was hard to get but when Juana was around she always made sure we got some too😊. I was really sad when I realized she wouldn’t be around anymore. 
As a kid you don’t really realize the value of a dollar, the importance of giving, sharing, hospitality, dynamics of  relationships,  etc. I am glad & honored that I was able to know & have her around for whatever amount of time we had her in our lives. I often thought about Juana when around family’s/friend’s young ones while they cry out for something they want just as I did that day. I know I def will now. 😌  It was always a pleasure to see her throughout the years as well. I would always remind her about those tacones. I wish I could’ve articulated better to Juana the impression she made on me as a child but I’m sure she knows now. Thank you Juana!
Baby Jo, I know how much you loved your mom as she was always there for you, I’m sure. May you, your siblings and all who morn for your mother be comforted by the Everlasting Comforter & soon coming King🙏🏽❤️👆🏽❤️☝🏽

So many memories with you and my mom (Jessie). You were a big part of our child hood always hanging around us, driving us all around town till the wee hours of the night. Jojo, me and Dee falling asleep in the back seat while you chauffeured my mom around from place to place. No matter what time my mom pulled up you came out to ride along and make sure we all made it home safe. You were such a great mother to Lil Joe you did everything you could to keep him safe, keep him feed, keep him in nice clothes and you did it all by yourself with no help from anyone. Thank you Juana for Always being there for my mom, thank you for always protecting me and Dee making sure we were safe. Thank you for always accepting and loving us seeing us as your nieces and my mom as your sister. To your husband and your children I am so sorry for your loss you have my deepest condolences. I know I was blessed to have had Juana in my life as a kid.

Because of you, I am who I am today. Miss and Love you always. Until we meet again.

My best friend ❤ my shoulder to lean on. Best mom and grandma to my world. Love you to the end of time and back.  

One day we will be together again until then this is not goodbye but "I will see you later"
