Dearest Nicole, Destiny, and Sierra, With Love and gratefulness, we send our deepest  condolences on the loss of beloved Tia Judy. We are so thankful for her beautiful example as a mother and aunt. She was always open to share her heart with those around her and her continuous joy, spread  happiness wherever she went. I have precious memories of Tia opening her home to us for Christmas… and recall several years spending Christmas in her most loving presence. Making the season a time of Peace and family. I will be eternally grateful for her love and grace, when thinking of her. Your family is so precious to us and although unable to attend in person, please know we were with you in spirit and thank you for providing a live stream. We were able to see the most beautiful service and listen to the precious words of your girls… Which are true gifts to this world. Your mama has left the most perfect example of her Love, in her baby girls. We love you abundantly and pray God continue to guide you through. May Tia Judy enjoy her Heavenly reward with the One Lord, she so lovingly served. We send you our  love and prayers. Cousin Terry (Tia Irene’s daughter) and family. Throughout life, we get the privilege of encountering people who make a lasting impression on us. For me, Judy Alcala  was one of those people. Judy was a smart, fun, fiery, loving, high-heel wearing lady who was my first sales mentor when I started training at Hormel on the west coast. She would call me “mija” and taught me lessons that have stuck with me throughout my career. She taught me the skill of being comfortable with silence in a negotiation, to never go to a meeting without a calculator, how to make a 4 corner sells sheet, to build meaningful relationships with my customers, and accountability. Judy would always say, “I’m old school!” Lol. She knew so much about selling fresh meat and loved to share her knowledge and mentor younger sales people. Most of all, Judy was a loving, beautiful person. As I’ve regretfully learned of her transition from this life to the next, I’m forever thankful and grateful of what she taught me, her willingness to correct me when I was wrong, and her passion for life, other people, and the CPG business. 

Judy, I’ll miss our catch ups, your words of wisdom, and enjoying a marg at the end of the day after a making a sale, but I’ll see you on the other side! Love, Mija ❤️

Judy inspired all of us with her love for family and creative thought..  there was always balloons prepared by Judy at our food shows.   When I see balloons at any event I think of  Judy.  She made a very positive impact for women in the Meat Product Sales industry.   God Bless.

Judy was a true professional over her career in a very challenging meat products sales industry.   She also had this wonderful love for dressing up our food shows with balloons!  Year over year!  Judy was the first recognized for teamwork with the General SPAMMY Award!   Judy loved her family more than anything and always shared her family with all of us with stories. 

Judy had always been like my sister. I've known her over 50 yrs.  Always watching my back especially in our younger nightclub times! She took me and my daughter in when I needed help. She loved to dance and she was a fantastic salsa dancer! We may have not seen each other as often as we wanted but when we talked it was like we saw each other yesterday. Judy was a beautiful friend inside and out. She will always be in our hearts and prayers. I will always be here for Nikki and her family too. Our family sends our deepest condolences and prayers to her family. Love you, Judy. I'll miss you deeply.  Now go show the angels your salsa moves!! 😇😇🙏🏼🙏🏼❤❤

I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers will be with Judy's family. 

I felt it was necessary to share with you how great of a co-worker-turned friend, Judy was to me. I attached two photos we took together. First one was in a parking lot on the way out of a customer meeting. I think we were sending it to another co-worker to explain how we got something done. The second was taken a night Judy took me to dinner to celebrate my promotion moving back to the East Coast. In true Judy fashion we toasted to life with margaritas of course. 

I worked with her back in 2014-2016 in Irvine at Hormel. She welcomed me to the office and helped train me on how to sell meat! She was passionate, hardworking and kind to those she cared about. She was always speaking so highly of her daughter and her two grand kids and how proud of them she was. She also consistently spoke of retiring-- and I think it took her 6 years or so from the time I met her to actually make the decision to stop working. She was one that fit in with everyone-- but has a special personality. All of the younger people in the office looked at Judy as a mentor, close confident and most importantly a friend. I was so lucky to have started in that office and to have trained under her.  She was a wonderful person and she will be missed.
