Kaaren Arvilla Berman

Kaaren earned her AA Degree from West Los Angeles College, while raising four children and working full-time. She also maintained a high sense of integrity and professionalism when providing services to the constituencies of the office holders she worked for. She did her very best in raising four children.

Between 1960 and 1991 Kaaren worked for Los Angeles democratic political office holders including John Ferraro, Senator John Tunney, Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley, and Congressman Henry A. Waxman. She also worked for California probate referees between 1960 and 1996. Prior to retiring, Kaaren worked as a tax preparer for H&R Block for 21 years.

Kaaren was a loyal member of animal rights organizations and sought a just humane life for all animals.

Kaaren's hobby was reading. The most honorable, courageous and loyal individual to anyone that met her. She loved with her full heart and there wasn't a thing she wouldn't do to help individuals in need. She shaped her children through her love and example of living life with integrity.

Kaaren loved her father Gerald and her great grandmother Vinnie Arvilla Robertson Cornell (maternal great grandmother). She shared her life memories and experiences with those that she loved. She spoke often with a deep love about Gerald and Vinnie.

Kaaren is survived by her son Douglas lee Hawk (Seabrook, Texas), granddaughter Diana Marie Hawk Krebehenne, great grandson Tyler Ian Mills, great granddaughter Carlee Alana Krebehenne, great granddaughter Jillian Maya Krebehenne, granddaughter Cat Collins, Son Daniel Harris Berman (Los Angeles, CA), Daughter Julie Kathryn Hawk Bourdan (Lake Havasu, AZ), granddaughter Amber Lynn Miller, great granddaughter Savana Leeann Powell, great granddaughter Madisyn Nicole Schneider, grandson Christopher Scott Bourdon, great granddaughter Tynnlee Mae Bourdon, Son David William Berman (Riverside, CA) and sister Madge Wheat Adams. Kaaren is preceded in death by her mother Luella Mae Cornell Wheat, Father Gerald Shelton Wheat, and sister Madge Wheat Adams.
