KATHERINE STEELE Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, and Friend passed in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Feb 18, 2013 at age 82. She was born on February 13, 1931, in Los Angeles California, as the third and youngest child, to first generation Italian immigrants. She resided in Riverside for more than 55 years. She enjoyed cooking, family, travel, exercise classes and TV wrestling with her family. She enjoyed a special vibrancy for life, surviving disabling childhood illnesses, and severe arthritis, which would have limited others. Her optimism, charisma and caring, touched many lives, offering encouragement and inspiration. To her family, she was a tireless mother, always looking for a way to nurture and help where possible. Her smile and grace, love and courage, will be deeply missed. Her career included being a loving wife and caring mother, customer service at Sears, Robertson's Ready Mix, along with various volunteer and community positions. She was an active member of St Thomas the Apostle Church. She is survived by her sons, Thomas Steele, Paul Steele, Steve Steele, David Steele; daughters, Kathy Showalter and Debbie Cox; her daughters-in-law Lori Steele, Kathryn Steele, Laurie Steele, Linda Steele; nephews, nieces, cousins, close neighbors, and many dear and loving friends. She was blessed with 27 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Vigil/Rosary Services will be held at Acheson and Graham Mortuary in Riverside CA on Friday March 1, from 5-7:30pm. A Catholic Mass will be held in her honor at St Thomas the Apostle Church in Riverside, CA on Saturday March 2, at 10:00am. Following we will share her memories with her Celebration of Life reception which will follow the Church Services in the Church hall at 12:00pm.
