Kenneth Lou McKibban

He was born in San Bernardino, California on Sept 22, 1946 to the late Henry and Ina McKibban. Ken graduated from Redlands High School in 1964 and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1968.

Soon after, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served as a command pilot in the KC-135 and KC-10 aircraft in Vietnam and Operation DESERT STORM/DESERT SHIELD. Ken retired from the Air Force in 1999 at the rank of Colonel, and retired from American Airlines in 2006 as a Captain on the Boeing 767.

He is preceded in death by his true love and wife Janice whom he married in 1975. Ken leaves behind a loving brother, Darrell, of Laguna Beach, and two children, Hank McKibban and Katie Keen, along with six amazing grandchildren. His love for this community was second only to his love for his family, his many friends, and the time he spent with each of them.

A graveside service will be held at the National Cemetery in Riverside on Wednesday, Nov 22, 2023 at 1100. A celebration of life will follow at the Mission Inn where flowers may be sent in his memory.
