

Kinny was born on August 5, 1930 in El Monte, California to Vincente and Jesus Galvan. She was raised by her mother and stepfather Jesus Gasca, in whom she called “Papa Chuey”. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, music, dancing and playing bingo. When she was a teenager she played baseball for the Casa Blanca girls team called the “Busy Bees”. She was also a contestant on the game show called “Queen for a Day” , in which she was crowned the Queen and received additional prizes. Also she had lunch with the cast of the show “Bonanza”. Kinny married Manuel Salas (Deceased) on June 5, 1949 at St. Anthony’s Church in Riverside. Together they had 13 children. Manuel Salas Jr. , Rosie Herrera, Ronald Salas (Deceased), Gloria Salas (Deceased), Ruben Salas (Deceased), Emma Lemos, Terry Salas, Julie Garza, Peter Salas, Annette Rodriguez, Jeanette Zamora, Kathy Salas and Patty Campos. Four years later we were blessed with our baby sister Nanette Sosa. She was also blessed with 42 Grandchildren, 93 Great Grandchildren, 69 Great Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Great Grandchildren.
