Klaus Peter Garcia, affectionately known as “Pete,” of Moreno Valley, California, passed away on October 24th, 2020. Pete was born in Upland, California on March 15th, 1949 to Margaret and Refugio Garcia. He was the middle of three sons.
Pete grew up in Mira Loma, California and met his wife Linda at the Dog & Gun Pub in Banbury, England in 1971 when he was stationed at RAF Croughton with the United States Air Force. They were married at St. John’s Cathedral on September 9, 1972.
Pete was a field technician for Unisys Corporation until his retirement in 2015. He was a creative problem solver who was known for being able to fix anything. He enjoyed being outdoors in the sunshine, especially at the beach, camping, and hiking. Most of all, Pete loved spending time with his family, who he was utterly devoted to. His friendly disposition and willingness to lend a hand to anyone who needed it touched the hearts of many.
Pete now lives on in those who loved him so dearly. He is survived by his children, Hayley, Amanda, and Jeremy; sons-in-law, Ty and Stephen; grandchildren, Allison, Rachel, and Leo; mother, Margaret; older brother, Max; and countless other family and friends.
Pete joins the love of his life, wife, Linda, beloved father, Refugio, and younger brother, Chito in Heaven where they are reunited for all eternity. He will always be with us in our hearts and cherished memories of the precious time we had together.
Pete and Linda will be laid to rest together at Riverside National Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
