Our condolences on the passing of your mom.  She was the 3rd grade teacher for all 6 of us
as well as 1 cousin - everyone's favorite.  I would clean the chalkboards after school and she would give me ribbon candy for helping.  : ) May your fond memories of her help you through the difficult times.

My father just told me of the passing of Mrs. Rife (I was out of town) She also was my 3rd grade teacher and through my friendship with Becky I got to know her as a mom.  She also was the hostess at Gay and Larry's where my in laws had our wedding rehearsal dinner and I remember her hug and well wishes then. May you find comfort in your memories and know that Mrs. Rife left wonderful memories for myself and other.

As did many, I had the privilege of being in your mother's 3rd grade class. Over the years we kept in touch either by phone or in person. She was a loveable and caring individual who found strength in her religion. My thoughts and prayers are with your mother. My condolences are with her entire family.

Your mother was my third grade teacher and was always my favorite teacher. I remember her telling us about Randy becoming a helicopter pilot. Several of us shared a special treat--walking home with her to have lunch and see the aviary. I know she was as wonderful a mother and grandmother as she was a teacher. An inspirational and unforgettable woman.

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother.  Although it has been way too many years since  I last saw your mom during our high school years,  I have never forgotten her and in her picture, I see the same, sweet lady.  May she rest in peace with our Father and may God lift your heavy heart in this time of grief. I wish I could be there, but I will remember her and her family  in my prayers.

My heart goes out to this sweet lady who always believed in kids and their ability to do well.  She was my 3rd grade teacher, and she always knew I could do more and do better.  She was a wonderful motivator and I really wanted to please, so I worked very hard.  Through the years, Becky and I became very close, and Ms. Rife (she was my teacher, she will always be Ms. Rife) became like a second mother.  I loved visiting with her, and her advise was always welcome.  She was always willing to talk, except during a Dodger game.  

My heart is with this wonderful lady and her family at this time.  She made a difference in the life of so many, and I am not sure there can be a better tribute to having a wonderful and fulfilling life.  My prayers during this special week where we are doing our Novena to the Virgin Mary are with Ms. Rife and her family.  Becky--I am so sorry.  As we discussed earlier this year, parents are, indeed, the very special gift from our Lord.
