Louis Mendez

Louis Mendez Sr. was born in Wasco, CA on June 21, 1940. While living in Riverside CA, him and his wife Corina R. Mendez had 3 sons (Jesse, Louis Jr. and Michael) and a daughter (Rosemary). While raising his children, he worked for Kaiser steel. Following his Daughter Rosemary, he relocated to Rialto CA. While living in Rialto for 25 years, he retired at 40 and spent time with his grandchildren and even great grandchildren. His favorite activities were long walks and watching his grandchildren play baseball. As his great grandchildren populated, he relocated to Moreno Valley CA. He spent most of his time walking the town to his favorite local stores and talking to the neighbors. He loved the outside, playing his guitar, collecting rocks, and picking wild flowers.

Louis Mendez Sr. passed peacefully from this life the morning of February 13th after a gradual decline in health. Louis lived a long 83 years of life. He was even able to see the life of his 2nd great grandchildren. Everyone who has ever met him knew he was such a wonderful person. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family and caregivers during the last days of his life. His memory will forever live on. He was truly loved.
