She was loved by all that knew her.
Margaret worked in a produce store in her younger days. She loved to go dancing at the British Legion on Saturday’s. On the last dance one Saturday night, a handsome young man named Sonny (A friend gave him that name as Rainis was hard to pronounce) asked her to dance. Sonny was in the American Air Force at the time. They fell hard for each other and went dancing together for a few months and then married July 31, 1954. They moved to the USA in June of 1956. Margaret was a stay at home mom and worked at home to help Rainis through college. They raised two children together. The family enjoyed traveling, especially to England and Oregon. She also enjoyed baking for everyone. She is famous for her Zucchini Bread. Later in life Margaret and Rainis went on many cruises: Australia, Hawaii, Panama and a few more. Most of her time was spent with family and friends. She still enjoyed dancing with Rainis for many years. Margaret was a wonderful, caring and loving, wife, Mother, Nana and GG. Special thanks to the amazing staff at Riverside Community Hospital, Emergency and ICU, and Advantage Health Systems.
