Michael A Ortega Jr and I had two wonderful and Loving children Candida C Ortega 33 years old. And Joseph H Ortega 25 years old. Michael loved both of his children so very much. And wow did they love him.My children cry for there dad everyday.(WHAT WILL THEY DO WITHOUT YOU MICHAEL!) I wish I could take away all there pain,they want there dad here with them.Michael was a hard working man who did all he could for the ones he loved. I pray for his Soul that his Dad Michael A Ortega Sr. And his Mother Elsie Gonzalez that there arms are held wide open as they welcome there son home.God Bless You Michael. "I met Mike in 1976. He was the quiet type and the coolest guy with his Afro. Me, Mike, and my sister Cherie had great times. I looked forward to the weekends so I could hang out with those two. Sometimes we went to Castle Park where he met my sister. I was always making them laugh. One time I played football with him and his buddies. Those guys looked up to him and really respected him. Another time we went to Marco Disco in Tijuana. The music was the best and those two were really good dancers. Then there was the time we went fishing off Newport. Those two caught some fish but I didn't. Luckily we didn't measure them, we just Barbequed them! I miss those times when all we had was fun and we were young."

Mike, I still can't believe you are gone.  I'm heart broken. You were a special part of our family and we were blessed to have shared your laughter and big heart for so many years.  I'm truly going to miss you and your big hugs. You were a good father & friend. With all my love my brother.

I am honored and blessed to have known your father. He was truly a blessing in our lives and we will miss him. Although he is no longer able to cover you with his loving hugs & smiles here on earth, he will ever watch over you from Heaven & will be the first to extend his hand & embrace you when you see him again.

Mike always made you feel better, great smile,great attitude. I remember him always saying, if you need anything let me know what I can do. Not just work, not just Union, just being there. It was an honor to know Mike for twenty years. Thank you to the family for sharing  such a great  person. Now rest my friend and feel no more pain.

Mike surely could brightened up a room. The smile, the laugh, and the stories! And he always got back around to sharing the love he felt for his family. It has been my pleasure to work with Mike. He will be sorly missed.... God's peace to his family.

Jr.as we called him growing up, he and his family was part of the fabric of our family. He will be greatly missed. I know along side his mother in Heaven, he will be with all his siblings,children, nieces and nephew, and Davie as there guarding Angel !!! We will miss Mike he was such a loving father, whenever we saw him he had such a amazing personality and would always come up and give my husband, daughter and me a big hug.  I know that he is in heaven and is no longer in pain, the best part is we will always have the memories of all the good time we had and no one can take that away from us. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time, it is never easy to lose our loved ones, I lost my mother in 2002, & my husband lost his mother the following year and there is not a day that goes by that we don't miss our mothers but with time it will get easier and with the love and support of family and friends that has helped us. To the family and friends of Mike Ortega, I send my deepest condolences.  Mike was a wonderful man who will be missed greatly.  Every time I saw Mike, he brought a smile to my face.  He was always telling a funny story and always with hope.  He was kind and generous and brought a positive light each day to the work place.  I will miss seeing him but know he is in peace without pain now.

Mike was one of my regulars at Circle K on Mary/Indiana, and always looked forward to him coming in. On my worst days he would come in and make me laugh or smile with one of his stories. Whenever I saw Mike he made me laugh. Who else could tell you a story about chopping off part of his finger and instead of gasping  you end up doubled over in laughter??  We have two ways of remembering; we either cry over his absence or smile remembering his stories and infectious charm.  I'm sure Mike wants us to smile.

To  my father, I miss you greatly and my love for you will never die. I'm having a hard time coping with the loss of losing you. To know my father was to love him. He had a wonderful personality, and he could make you laugh. He was my world and now that he's gone I feel lost.

So thankful for the opportunity to know this amazing man. His kindness and caring and his forever smiling face will be greatly missed.
