Ofelia Franco

.OFELIA FRANCO Entered into eternal rest on April 2 when she lost her valiant battle with cancer. Ofelia is survived by her mother (Maria), son Braulio, daughter Alexandra, granddaughter Soraya, nine sisters, two brothers and many nieces and nephews. Ofelia was born on July 27, 1958 in Tepatitlán de Morelos, Jalisco, Mexico and moved to Riverside, California with her family as a young adult. A hard worker by nature, she worked in the region's agricultural fields and packing warehouses throughout her youth and adulthood. Ofelia had a deep reverence for knowledge and learning, and spent many years studying and taking classes while also working full-time and raising two children. She successfully received her GED and eventually achieved her goal of becoming a licensed, state-certified Pharmacy Technician. Ofelia worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Parkview Community Hospital in Riverside, where she will be sorely missed. An avid gardener and excellent cook, Ofelia was happiest when she was doing something for her family and coworkers. She leaves a deep void in the lives of all who loved her and will always be remembered for her impeccable character, wonderful sense of humor, incredible strength and independence, and her loving, giving heart. A memorial Service for Ofelia will be held on Thursday, April 12 at 1:00pm at Acheson & Graham, 7944 Magnolia Avenue, Riverside CA 92504. Interment will be private.
