Our beloved father was a loving husband, a devoted father, a proud grandfather, and the foundation of our family.

His journey to America was not easy. Like so many immigrants before us, he left behind the familiar and stepped into a new country with hope, courage, and a dream of giving his family a better life. There were many challenges along the way, but through it all, Dad remained strong. He was our rock—the person we could always depend on.

Dad worked hard all his life to provide for his family. He never complained about how difficult life was. Instead, he simply kept going, doing whatever was needed to take care of the people he loved. We remembered he would come home from a long day of school & work but he would still find time to read a short story book for us then translate the English words to us before he tucked us kids into bed. His dedication to his family was immeasurable. He would always let us know that his greatest accomplishment was his family—his beautiful wife, his children and grandchildren.

He was kind, gentle, easygoing and generous with his heart. If any of us ever needed help, Dad was there without hesitation. We never doubted he would show up. He simply would. That’s our Dad!

He was so proud of his children and grandchildren. He loved talking about us and would speak about our lives and accomplishments with such pride. To him, we were always special. And to us, he was irreplaceable.

Our children were especially blessed to have him as their grandfather. He gave them the warmth of his love, the comfort of his presence, and the kind of unconditional love that grandchildren never forget. The memories they made with their grandfather will remain a precious part of their lives.

Dad was loved by so many people. He had a gentle way about him that made people feel comfortable and welcomed. He touched many lives simply by being himself—with kindness, generosity and a good heart. Those who knew him will remember him not only for the life he lived, but for the love he gave so freely.

And then there was Dad’s love of food. He travelled to many cities just to have a taste of their local cuisines. Dad truly enjoyed eating! It became one of the little things that made him so much fun to be around. If we wanders off somewhere in a crowded mall, a busy market, or somewhere with lots of people, we already knew where to look—find the food, and you would probably find Dad! These memories bring smiles even through our tears, and it is one of the many little things we will miss about him.

Dad taught us that a meaningful life is built through love, hard work, sacrifice, and family. He may not have said everything with words, but he showed us his love through everything he did.

He gave his family a home.

He gave us strength.

He gave us security.

He gave us his time.

Most importantly, he gave us his love.

As we say goodbye, our hearts are broken because we know we will no longer hear his voice, see his smile or have him beside us in the way we had. Yet we also know that the love he gave us does not end here. His legacy lives on in all of us whose lives he had touched. Every time we gather as a family, every time we share a meal, every time we laugh about one of Dad’s little habits and every time we help one another the way he always helped us, a part of Dad will be with us.

“Dad, you spent your life taking care of all of us. Now it is time for you to rest. We pray that God welcomes you into his loving arms and grants you eternal peace. May the Lord reward you for all the sacrifices you’ve made, all the love you gave and all the lives you have touched. We are grateful to God for giving us the Gift of You.”

“Dad, you were our rock, our protector and our home. Thank you for everything you did for us and for loving us so completely and unconditionally. We will miss you more than words can convey.”

“Until we meet again, may you rest peacefully in the loving arms of God. We love you Dad Always, Forever and through Eternity.”
