Rachel Negrete Munoz, a cherished member of the Riverside community, passed away on October 20, 2025 at the age of 92. Born on January 6, 1933 in San Bernardino, California, Rachel lived a life marked by kindness, compassion and generosity.
She selflessly and devotedly dedicated most of her life to raising and caring for her family. Her home was filled with the warmth and enticing aromas of her cooking and baking; passions she shared with her loved ones throughout her life. Rachel's garden was a floral manifestation of her impressive and dedicated green thumb, a passion passed down to her from her mother. Her marriage to her husband, David, was the cornerstone of her life and the love they shared resonated throughout their family for decades. Rachel was a devoted mother to her children: Jimmy, David, Raymond, Teresa, Manuel, Dora, Sharon and Priscilla. Her legacy is carried forward by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of whom she loved and cared for deeply.
Her personal qualities of sharp honesty mixed with her nurturing generosity and an unwavering commitment to being there for family and friends have left an unforgettable impression on all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held on October 31, 2025, at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Mortuary, 11500 Arlington Ave, Riverside, CA 92505, beginning with a Funeral Service from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a Committal Service from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. Her final resting place will be at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park, also located at 11500 Arlington Ave, Riverside.
Pallbearers honoring Rachel will be Anthony, Nicholas, Nathan, Carina, Jimmy Jr., Jake R., Jake M., and Manuel.
