Raul Solis

July 16, 1939 – July 26, 2016

Raul passed away early evening of July 26th with his children by his side. He was born on July 16th, 1939 in Los Angeles California to Isidoro and Ruth Solis. Raul grew up in Watts California and graduated from St. Anthony High School in Long Beach California. He was very proud to be a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Raul attended Compton Community College where he met his wife Patricia and they were married on February 14th, 1963. Soon after they were married Raul began his career with Southern California Gas Company. After the birth of their first two children Izzy and Shelly, he transferred to Barstow California where they were blessed with their third child, Elisha. Raul and Patricia owned an Antique Business called Forever More, for several years. Raul enjoyed playing in an annual Golf Tournament, was a member of the Elk’s Lodge, and Toastmasters. He also was very active with the Barstow High School Booster Club while his children and his grandson attended high school. His last few years were spent living in Riverside with his daughter Elisha.

Raul is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia, father Isidoro, mother Ruth, his brother Richard and sisters Olivia and Adelina. He survived by his three children Izzy, Shelly, and Elisha, three grandchildren Todd, Patrick, and Brian, and one great grandchild Faye, and three siblings, Vera Duenas, Elisa Loefen, Martha Sucharski, and Rudy Solis.
