

Reynaldo Amezcua passed away on May 5, 2026, at his home in Riverside, CA. He was born in El Paso, TX on April 6, 1945 to Francisco & Emma Amezcua. Reynaldo was a one-of-a-kind husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a dedicated family man who anchored us with his strength and warmed us with his love. We’ll love and miss him until we reunite one day.
Reynaldo was a musician playing in bands such as The Valiants and Jr. & The Preludes. He graduated college with an Associates Degree from Cal State Fullerton in 1974. He worked for Costco from 1994 until he retired in 2015. He loved spending time with family, listening to music and playing card games.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Gloria Amezcua, his two children; Aneka Amezcua-Cruz (Gonzalo Cruz) and Erik Amezcua (Sarah Rendon); siblings Frank Amezcua (Alicia Amezcua), Jaime Amezcua (Betty Amezcua) and Norma Amezcua. Reynaldo’s legacy continues through his 3 grandchildren, Isaac Chavez, Joseph Chavez (Airreana Chavez) and Bella Amezcua, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
