We are sorry for your loss. I remember the Burns family well. As a child I remember Della ,my grandmother, Alice Twogood Haight, her sister Carrie, Carrie Vigus, sitting in the pew of the methodist church in Highgrove along with many of the older members of the church. My mother, Carrie Haight Everington was also a member as I was and her cousin , Mary was married to Ray. a long time ago. My brother, Jerry, and I grew up in Highrove and my parents ran the old grocery store across from the church.We are thinking of the burns family. thoughts and prayers, Joyce Everington Anderson, Alta Loma, Calif. Some of the words that come to mind when I think about my grandfather are kind, generous and selfless.  He dedicated his life to those around him and offered assistance to those in need.  I have many fond memories of looking into the stands, whether it was football or baseball, and seeing his loving smile.  It never mattered how far the game was, my grandfather made the trip.  I love and miss you grandpa.  Tell Noni hello for me.  Love Donovan.
