Roberto M. Escoto, age 93, passed away on September 19, 2018 from kidney failure at home in Corona, CA under hospice care by Mission Hospice. He was born on July 7, 1925 in Jalisco, Mexico. He worked for Riverside County in construction - 1959 - 36 years with various companies. He was a 55 years member of Laborers International Union of North America and a member of St. Edward Catholic
Church in Corona, CA. He was married to Conchentina for 70 years before she died. Conchentina was his love and life. Dad loved working with his garden, especially his beloved chilis. He was a proud citizen and voted in every election. He loved the pancakes at Denny's. He loved the Chivas football team. He was a Dodger fan. He was a very frugal person. He tried to fix the 40 years old refrigerator, laying on the floor at the age of 90. He was generous to his children. Don Roberto and Don Jesus (deceased neighbor) loved each other as brothers. Roberto is survived by his daughters Eva Alwardt (husband John), Elvia Morgan (husband, Brian, (deceased), Estella Hodgson (husband, Joseph, deceased); and Patricia Faucher (husband Roland), Sandra Plascencia (husband Richard); sons Roberto Escoto (wife Sherrie), Efraim Escoto, (wife Sheree), Daniel Escoto (wife Deborah); sister Aurora Barrajas from Mexico, brother Efren Escoto of Corona, CA; 24 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Conchentina Escoto (3/30/2017); father Librado Escoto and mother Librada (Morales) Escoto; sisters Angela of Chicago and Rosa of Mexico; brother Manuel Escoto of Mexico. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 3 from 5-8pm at Pierce Bros. Crestlawn Mortuary with Funeral Mass on Thursday, October 4 at 10am at St. Edward Catholic Church followed by burial at 11:30am at Pierce Bros. Crestlawn Memorial Park.
