Ron was a great man, a selfless man with a very big heart. He was a very loving man even though he had trouble expressing it. His greatest pleasure in life was being a Papa to his seven grandchildren (1 granddaughter and 6 grandsons)...everyone who knew him, said he just lit up when he spoke about his grandchildren. He loved his children too, and was so proud of each of their accomplishments. He was a good Son, Brother, Husband, Father and Papa. He was a great friend, too. He loved to go deep sea fishing and play golf. He loved all sports...football, horse racing and especially baseball. We always joked that if there was a tiddlywinks match on TV, he would watch it just for the competiton! He loved watching his grandsons play baseball and was able to see his oldest grandson, Logan, play in the Allstars. He was an avid Dodgers fan. He was a music lover, all genres, especially rock and roll...he instilled his love of music in his daughters children. His two oldest grandsons, Logan and Dylan, said that Papa taught them how to play baseball, skeeball, the meaning of Feliz Navidad...and that is was always better to give than to receive. He passed that on to his children as well. He would give you the shirt off of his back, food from his table, money if he had it and a warm place to stay. He never passed a less fortunate person without offering to buy them a warm meal and a hot cup of coffee. His legacy and memory will live forever in the hearts of those who loved him...he will be greatly missed and forever loved...
