Roy Clinton Meek

Roy Meek went to heaven at the age of 74, the youngest son of Marshall and Thelma Meek. His Siblings Jim, Ellen, Martha, Sandra, Roger, Joe, Linda and Barbara. Born and raised in Virginia. He honorably served in the Navy from 1967, he went on three tours to Vietnam and got out early when his ship was decommissioned in Seatle, Washinton in November 1970. Bonnie and Roy were married on February 20th 1971 and just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Roy is survived by his wife Bonnie and two daughters, Mary and husband Justin Douglas, Melisa and husband Daniel Tovar. He was very proud of his grandchildren Cody Aguinaga, Dylan, Christopher Douglas and Vincent, Becky, Brooke and Bella Tovar.

Roy had a unique ability to bring out a smile in anyone, eve n in the most difficult situations. He always helped those in need. His heart and kindness always showed through in the most needed times. He taught his children to be caring, loving, and passionate at whatever they did and to be strong through any situation. He taught his children and grandchildren to be tough when needed and always loving. Most important he showed them family always comes first no matter what. He truly was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather.

Roy enjoyed being outdoors very much. He loved camping, fishing and boating. All of his passions he shared with his family as often as he could. He taught his grandchildren to fish and drive a boat. One of his happiest loves was spending time with his grandkids. Roy will be deeply missed and remembered forever.

God saw you getting tired.

A cure was not to be.

So he put his arms around you

And whispered, "Come with Me."

With tearful eyes we watched you

And saw you fade away.

Although we loved you dearly

We could not make you stay.

A loving heart stopped beating

Your tender hands at rest.

God took you home to prove to us

He only takes the best.

Services for Roy Meek will be held Wednesday, May 19th 2021 at 1pm, followed by graveside burial at 2pm at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park and Mortuary 11500 Arlington Avenue, Riverside, California, 92505.
