As much as I would love to have you here on earth with us, I know you’re in a better place with no pain and no more tears and that makes my heart happy but it’s bittersweet because we are sure gonna miss you so much. You lived a long wonderful Godly life and are the greatest man I’ve ever known, you are one of the very few people to be there constantly through my life and I can’t begin to thank you for everything you have done for me and the wonderful example you were. You’ve showed me what it is to be a great husband, father and man. You were a great man and I hope that if that I can become half the man and Christian you were I would be doing pretty good and I just hope I can make you proud! I love you forever and you will always be in my heart and in my mind ❤️

There will never be another Samuel Turner! There is a a lot of talk about G.O.A.Ts in today’s world. But truly this man is a real life G.O.A.T 
 
He taught me so much, from the beauty of music to the depths of life itself. You showed me how to understand the Word of God and the Kingdom of God. You exemplified what it means to be a husband, a father, and a friend. You didn’t just tell me; you lived it.

I’m going to miss you more than I can say. I’ll miss picking a guitar with you, sitting out in the garage whittling and talking about love, politics, and manhood. Those moments were more than conversations—they were lessons and memories that I’ll hold close for the rest of my life.

Go rest high, Pappa. Let your sweet voice fill the heavens. There will only ever be one Samuel Turner, but to me, you were simply—and forever—Pappa.

The greatest Papa anyone could ever ask for. He was such an inspiration. My heart hurts because he gone but I’m comforted knowing I’ll see him again. Great is your reward Papa! We were all blessed by your life. Go rest High

I have been acquainted with Uncle Sam ever since I was a flower girl for the wedding. My family lived next door to the Merle Baker family for a season, and I heard Uncle Sam singing to my grandfather while dating his wife Merle. They have always been a couple together,  and I remember them both as always in  service to  the Lord through their church. Uncle Sam usually didn't say much until he began to tell jokes during family get togethers which kept us in constant laughter for hours, sometimes. I will remember those fun times throughout my life and be glad I had an opportunity to know my Uncle Sam. He will be sorely missed by many people as well as his family. So Good bye my Uncle until that day in heaven when we will reunite. Until then, I am sure he is singing in heaven to the Angels.

Sam was a man who loved his beautiful wife Merle and his wonderful family.  Sam loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart and served others in ministry of music and his love for the Word of God. I first met Sam over 70 years ago and loved him then and I have never met a better man. I look farward to meeting him again just inside the gates of the city of God.
