Sandra Marie Totten, 87, passed away on September 8, 2026. Born on July 23, 1939, Sandra was born in Pomona, California, where she spent her early childhood before moving in the early 1940s to Rimforest in the San Bernardino Mountains. She later settled in Riverside, California, where she built a life defined by steady devotion, principled living, and a deep commitment to those she loved.
Sandra’s life was marked by diligence and integrity in all she undertook. She earned her substitute teaching credential and taught for a few years in the Riverside and Colton Unified School Districts, bringing care and consistency to her work with students. She later became a real-estate agent for 52 years, working alongside her life partner, Walt McDonald. Together, Sandra and Walt traveled the world for many years representing the real estate industry—an experience that reflected both her strong work ethic and her willingness to embrace life with purpose.
For 54 years, Sandra shared her life with the love of her life, Walt. Together they raised their children, Tammie and Jeff. While raising their family, Sandra and Walt enjoyed time at their cabin in the mountains, where simple joys became lasting memories—especially Sandra’s delight in eating her kringle whenever they went to the cabin.
Sandra treasured time with family and friends, and her home and heart made room for all—her dog Scout, and even the neighborhood cats. She loved traveling, and she especially loved being with her children, her grandchildren Steven, Kelsea, and Haylee, and her great-grandchildren; Adelina and Jewels. In every season of life, she remained steadfast in making family a priority, even amid a full and active life.
A faithful Christian who loved Jesus, Sandra lived her beliefs with quiet strength and sincerity. She was known for her kindness and honesty, and for the way she showed up for others with steady compassion. To many, she was “everyone’s best friend,” and to all who knew her, she left a lasting memory—setting a high standard, leading by example, and never wavering from her values. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to be felt in the lives she touched.
The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever.
Amen.

(Thi dit er riget og magten og æren i evighed!
