Sherry Lynn Grenier, age 63, of Riverside, California passed away on Friday March 1, 2019. Sherry was born September 7, 1955 in Warner Robins, Georgia to Clara Rhea Leichliter and Bobby Dean Leichliter. Sherry had been diagnosed with essential thrombocytosis and passed due to complications associated with the disease.
Sherry was employed as a Paramedical Examiner for American Paramedical Professional Services doing medical exams for submitted life insurance policies. This was a vocation which was meant to be for a person who knew no strangers. She would come home with stories about her clients like they were family. In the twenty-five plus years as an examiner, she often would come across old clients and would come home with updated stories on their children or come across them out in public and would stop what she was doing to catch up. Sherry came from such a large family, she would often meet distant cousins while on the job, who lived in the area. She had an incredible memory for people. Sherry enjoyed spending time with her family and talked daily on the phone to her sisters, her parents and children. Sherry had previously worked at Riverside Community Hospital and Inland Eye Institute.
She loved people and animals and never left a stranded pet. She often brought strays home while in search for their owner. This just didn’t happen at home, she would help a stray dog while visiting hours from home. She always gave her time to others and had a big heart that always cared for everyone. Sherry was also known for her down to earth humor and loved family gatherings.
Sherry is survived by her husband of 20 plus years, Kenneth A. Grenier; daughter Kari Richter; son-in-law Jeff Barranco; daughter Jayme Richter; stepdaughter, Rachel Grenier; stepdaughter, Natalie Bracken; stepdaughter Elizabeth Winters; stepson Bobby Gonzales; stepson Christopher Gonzales; grandson Benjamin Levinson; father Bobby Dean Leichliter; stepmother Doris Leichliter; sister Bobbie Solis; brother-in-law Larry Solis; sister Tina Jordan and brother-in-law, John Jordan.
