Rusty, me and mom are still in disbelief that you passed.  Thankfully, we can find comfort  in knowing that you knew how  very much we cared about and appreciated you. You were a great friend. Thank you!

Rusty was a friendly,caring, nice standup guy. Kevin Anders and I spent some fun times with Rusty. We will miss you buddy. Rest in Peace.

So sorry to hear about Rusty.  Worked with him for several years at the Press Enterprise.  My husband knew him for many years, I think since high school.  RIP Rusty.

I worked with Rusty in the late 80's and early 90's at the Press-Enterprise in circulation.  Nice guy, full of personality !  Sorry to hear of his passing. Many memories of working there with everyone.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I spent many years around Rusty first at the Press-Enterprise and then playing ball on many softball teams including the legendary Rapscallions of which Rusty was one of the original core players.  I also played on a couple of great Sunday baseball teams with Rusty.  Additionally I enjoyed lots of just fun times with Rusty and he and I once pulled off one of the greatest pranks of all time on his close friend Neal.  Unfortunately after he left the Press-Enterprise we lost touch.  Very sorry to hear of his passing.  I would've enjoyed getting together with him to catch up and rehash some of the good old times we had.  Lots of other good stories come to mind in my fond memories of experiences with Rusty.  My condolences to his family and friends.
