Stephen Edgar Albright

Stephen “Steve” Albright 81 of Murrieta, CA passed away on March 23, 2022 with his family by his side. Steve was born to his parents Edgar and Lillian Albright on July 24, 1940 in Los Angeles, CA. After graduating from Tustin High School Steve enlisted in the United States Navy.

Steve married Jeanne, the love of his life, in 1958 and they were married for 63 years. Steve is survived by his wife Jeanne, his son Steve and his wife Bilinda, his daughter Cynthia and her husband Doug, 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and his two sisters, Joann and Pam.

After serving 4 years in the Navy and 2 years in the Navy Reserve Steve went to work for the City of Anaheim in the Public Utilities Department as an Area Dispatcher, eventually becoming Systems Operations Manager for the city’s Water and Power Department. Steve retired from the City of Anaheim after 39 years of service.

In 1966 Steve moved his young family to Norco, CA where he became involved in a number of community organizations such as coaching little league, supporting the local 4-H club, serving on the Flood Control Committee, and being a member of the local Lions Club.

Steve’s favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing and being a member for many years on a bowling team in the Norco League. After 29 years in Norco Steve and Jeanne moved to Murrieta where they eventually retired and he was able to spend more time with his grandkids whom he adored. When Steve wasn’t playing with the grandkids he could be found on his tractor enjoying any and all projects.

Steve’s smile, wit, and laughter was one of a kind. He could light up any room he walked into. Steve was loved by all and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

A funeral service for Stephen will be held Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Mortuary, 11500 Arlington Ave, Riverside, CA 92505. A graveside service will occur Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA 92518. A reception will occur Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at California Citrus State Historic Park, 9400 Dufferin Ave., Riverside, CA 92504.
