The greatest step father a man could ask for.  May the Lord bless with fond memories all who knew and loved him.

Our prayers go out to all the Archer family.  We did not get to see Uncle Syl too much in the last few years, but that doesn't mean we didn't love him.  He was wonderful and a very special Uncle.  I will definitely miss him.

If Richard is a chip off the "old block" then his father must have been a great man! For in Richard I see patience, kindness, helper, loving husband and more. I am sorry for the loss of your father! Sylvester passed the best of his traits to his family and it shows. Our sincere condolences to the entire family. You are in our prayers.

I met him once and remember he was a kind man.  I see his kind heart passed down to his son, Richard, and grandson, Eric.  What a beautiful legacy he left in them!

The best father-in-law a girl could have. He was generous, sweet, loving, kindhearted, a jokester, a lover of song, and the dearest man I knew. He was the best! I will miss him terribly.

Our prayers and condolences go out to Cousin Richard and family. "Uncle Syl" was unique - a true gentleman in all senses. He could be so serious at times, but certainly make us laugh 
w/his stories. May God be with him 
now. So very sorry for your loss.

When I think of Uncle Syl, there are so many happy memories of good times as we were growing up and as adults. Hopefully, thoughts like these will bring you comfort.. He  and your family are in our prayers.
