Tami Marie Lincoln passed away on February 14, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on November 29, 1959, in Lynwood, California to James and Dolores Shockley, Tami lived a life full of compassion, devotion, and generosity. Her hard-working nature and faithful spirit left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Tami graduated from Corona High School in 1977 and went on to earn a degree from California State University Fullerton in 1985, eventually earning her master’s degree. She spent 36 years enriching the minds of young artists as a visual arts teacher, with 26 of those years dedicated to Santiago High School. She retired in 2025, leaving behind a legacy of creativity and passion for the arts.
In 1982, Tami married Brad Lincoln, a devoted partnership that lasted over four decades. Together, they raised two wonderful sons: Jim, and Matt. Tami took great joy in spending time with her grandchildren, Reed and Ivy.
Her personal interests extended beyond the canvas. Besides her love for art, she was an avid fan of Joan Jett and never missed the latest Kristen Stewart movie release.
Tami’s contributions to her community were as noteworthy as her love for her family and friends. During her high school years, she helped paint the original Bicentennial mural on the Prado Dam spillway. Her perseverance in convincing the Army Corps of Engineers to repaint and preserve the mural culminated in its 2023 reveal.
Tami is preceded in death by her brother Christopher and is survived by her loving husband Brad, sons Jim (Juli) and Matt (Cady), her parents Jim and Dolores, her sister Cheryl, her grandchildren Reed and Ivy, and many other extended family members and friends.
For her Celebration of Life, in honor of her exuberant nature, her family asks that you come wearing your favorite pair of Vans and the loudest shirt you can think of that in your heart you feel represents her. Celebration of Life details will be displayed below.
In this time of remembrance, her family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to OCF-OCF (https://ocf-ocf.org/donate/) or The Children’s Hemiplegia and Stroke Association (https://chasa.org/you-can-help/donate/) . Tami’s laughter and love will be sorely missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her.
