Tena (Terpstra) Sybesma

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She is survived by her children: Allan, Ed, and Rick Sybesma, Judy (Sybesma) and husband Pat Chavez; grandchildren: Christopher Jackson and partner Analise Evanson, Kasey (Jackson) and husband Jonathan Abakumoff, and her siblings and spouses: Maartje & Peke Gemser, Froukje Fokkemma, Siem & Gepke Terpstra, Durk & Maartje Terpstra, Piet & Griet Terpstra and Sister Inlaw, Anna (Sybesma) Zylstra.

She had quite a few hobbies which included sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidering, cross-stitching, and whittling (woodworking). Her biggest pleasure was going camping with her husband and grandchildren; they spent many trips in Yosemite, Morro Bay, and a host of other national parks. She also loved to spend time with family and celebrate birthdays by making dinners (birthday person’s choice); which sometimes included pancakes.

While sometimes not easy, her life was full of happiness, adventure, and faith.
