Thomas J. Cantwell

LT. COL. THOMAS J. CANTWELL (Ret) Age 91, resident of Riverside, CA for 47 years, passed away 06/24/2010 due to natural causes. Lt. Col. Cantwell was born 07/26/1918 in Boston, Massachusetts. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Lt. Colonel and received 2 distinguished flying crosses and 6 air medals with clusters. He attended NYU and RCC where he received his AA degree. Lt. Col. Cantwell was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Riverside where he was head usher for many years, Riverside Duplicate Bridge Club (life master) and Military Officers of America (MOOA). Lt. Col. Cantwell is survived by his wife, Jean Cantwell of Riverside; daughters, Pam Greene (Bob) of Texas and Colleen Sanchez (Raymond) of Moreno Valley; step-daughter, Marilyn Brown of Stockton; sons, Tom Cantwell of Washington, Paul Cantwell (Anita) of Riverside, Brian Cantwell (Victoria) of Cupertino and Kevin Cantwell of Fullerton; step-son, Glenn Dietz (Lynn) of Fairfield; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Cantwell of Tennessee. Visitation 06/29 at 6:30pm with Rosary at 7pm and Mass on 06/30, 11am, all at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4268 Lime St., Riverside.
