I miss my friend Tom terribly and think of him so often.  We became working friends in 1990 and it blossomed into a personal friendship.   There was no greater friend than Tom.   He was kind, highly intelligent, informed and full of humor.  
I retired and moved away from Riverside in 2018 but we stayed in touch.  I was devastated to hear of his passing in 2022.  Sending all my love to the family.

It's been 0ne year since I lost my best friend. I think of him often.  When I think of him now it is usually the fun times the 4 of us had. The sadness is still there sometimes but now it is almost all happy memories. I miss him always but am glad he came into Teri and I lives. We still have our good friend Cheryl with us. She means the world to both Teri and I.

I have too many great memories to mention here. One of the best is when tom, Cheryl, myself and wife(Teri) would meet at the crab pot restaurant in long Beach for happy hour and then go to have dinner someplace else. Whenever  all four of us were together there was always laughter  and ragging on each other. I  will miss all the conversations we had on politics,  history and especially  our families. I  always new I could depend on tom no matter the situation and he was always there.( the true meaning 
of a friend) I miss tom everyday and will never have a friend  like him again.

From the first time we met, he was Tommy to me.  Then one day I don't remember exactly when he became Tom.  Tommy was a name from our childhood.  As we got older our lives went in different directions we still managed to keep in touch.
For as long as I can remember Tom loved picking on me and giving me a hard time. Whenever I received a phone call from Tom, Steve my husband knew that for at least the next hour I would be busy talking.
Tom made several trips back to Wisconsin and we made several trips to California.
I going to miss our visits and phone calls .
I'm proud to call Tom my brother.


Cheryl & Family - I grew up my younger years with your husband/Dad. Tommy was a shining star to me as a young girl, as I always looked up to him more as a brother than a cousin. In my young adult years, he was always there for me when I needed someone and I know he would be there for me to this day because that was who he was. There are few men I hold in such high regard. He was brave and honest and under his gruff exterior was a warm kind heart. I loved him and am proud to say he was family. I am truly sorry for your tremendous loss. 

Tommy (that's what I always called him) was not just a honorable, giving, caring person, he could also be a bit of a prankster.  One memory I have that always makes me laugh, was the time when we all lived on Livermore, and he called my house, and when my eldest boy answered the phone, he told him that Christmas was cancelled, because Santa had died.  The kids weren't to sure what to believe until Tommy started laughing, then my son stoped his foot, and told Uncle Tommy ( that's what my kids called him) he was going to punish him when he got home.  
 Tommy wasn't just my cousin, he was like another big brother to me.  Although our lives took us to different parts of the state, and we were not always in touch, I always knew that if I needed him, he'd have my back.  
 Rest well Tommy, you work on earth is done. But you will live on in the Hearts  of all who knew and loved you.  Be at peace.  

I have many great memories of Uncle Tom.  I remember when I was 10 years old traveling out to California for the first time and going to Disney. Tom would often come back to WI during the summers to visit which I looked forward too. Well maybe other than being given a hard time by him because baseball was my sport which wasn’t tough like football.   Tom always like to give my mom a hard time which was fun for me if not for her.  In recent years I had the opportunity to travel out to California a couple times and spend time with him. It was great to hear the memories he was able to share. He also took the time to teach me what he knew of our heritage from that side of the family.  I wish there could be more times but I will always cherish the ones we had. RIP.   

I remember Tom telling the story of how when he came back from Vietnam and I first saw him.  I ask him "if he was done soldiering?"  I was around 2 years old at the time.  He always got a kick out of telling that story...  I will miss seeing him when he would come back almost yearly to Lake Noquebay.  
Tom did help feed my fire for the game of football and trying to be as good of a player as he was.  He was a All Conference Middle Line Backer at 135 lbs.  Playing for the Crivitz Wolverines.  He was one hell of a tough player from what I was told from people who watched him play. He set the bar very high for me, which was the biggest gift he could give me at the time.  I know he instilled this in all of his children. He has a great legacy to be very proud of.  I have always been very proud to say he was my brother....


As a child I remember my cousin Tommy and riding on his shoulders off of Snow Mountain Pass with my brother Bill to the lakes below to go fishing.  I also remember spending the night with him on Fern Road near the Powerhouse, with him and his black lab named George in which he saw the bond that me and George had which ended with him giving me George to be my companion.  I also remember the Mac and Cheese dinners we would share.  There was also a trip from LA to Wisconsin with his wife Cheryl and Adam and with us sleeping in the back in what I remember as a Ford Pinto.  (Great times) Thanks Tommy for the great memories. RIP.
