Trice Fields was born on March 12, 1951, in Columbus Ohio. Trice is survived by Husband Bruce Fields, Son Robert Ingels, Daughter-in-law Jenn Ingels and Grandchildren Philip and Olivia Ingels. Trice is also survived by sibling’s Michelle Swank, Jana Keene, and Molly Hill. She was preceded in death by parents Robert and Mona Hill, and brother Michael Hill.
Trice passed away on January 31, 2024, peacefully at home with her husband, son, and sisters at her side. A bright light extinguished far too early. Raised in the church, she attended Pomona Catholic High School, worked at the Woolworth's counter and then in the family business, The Branding Iron. She attended college later in life and finally achieved her goal of teaching at Foothill Knolls elementary school in Upland, California. Along the way she made lifelong friends at every stage of her life. Family and friends were very important to Trice. She was a very loving and carefree person who would give you the shirt off her back, except if it was an Ohio State Football shirt. She had many interests and hobbies and loved to travel. All that paled in comparison to the joy she felt eight years ago, when grandson Philip came along, followed by granddaughter Olivia. Her final wish would certainly be to be remembered forever as Grammy Trice.
