Victor Eugene Sheldon, better known as Bill Sheldon, passed away from heart failure on July 31st 2021. Born to Horace and Harriet Sheldon. He grew up in Wyoming, one of 13 siblings. Bill grew up working odd jobs all around Wyoming, working the South Pass, as a heavy equipment operator. Meeting his wife of 59 years, come this October, he married Patricia Marie Myers on October 15 1961 in Riverton Wyoming. Our daughter, Shylynn Gail, was born on May 19 1962. We traveled to California, then on to Alaska in 1964… the day before the Good Friday Earthquake. The 60’s was the last frontier in Alaska. Victor William was born October 2nd 1966. Bill started “Sheldon Trucking”. Where he bought Kenworth Trucks and put them to work in Prudo Bay Alaska. In the 70’s he would spend the summers working in Alaska and the Winters in Arizona. In the 80’s we moved to California, where he worked for the City of San Diego for 20 years running heavy equipment. In 2001 Bill retired and was able to spend time with his family and his beloved grandchildren. Bill was a people person and loved conversation. He loved cars and enjoyed going to the Winter Nationals. Bill will truly be missed by everyone.

His brother Buzz of Chandler Arizona. Brother Skeet of Riverton Wyoming. Sister Shirly of Lahaina Hawaii. Sister Sharon of Gunnison Utah. And Sister Adell of Peoria Arizona. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Everyone that met Bill came away with a smile. He knew so many great people across the country. He touched so many lives. May he never be forgotten. His spirit and love will always be with us. May my beloved husband rest in peace.
