William Davison Kerrick (Bill), 95, of Riverside, passed away on June 23, 2022. Bill was born in Riverside, California on November 20, 1926, to William Davison Kerrick, Sr. and Mary Catherine (Campbell) Kerrick.
Bill was raised in Grand Terrace, graduated from Colton High School in 1944, and entered the US Navy on his eighteenth birthday, near the end of World War II. After military service he attended San Bernardino Valley College and Santa Barbara College of the University of California (now UC Santa Barbara), earning a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Arts. After graduation he worked as an engineer at several companies, including Collins Radio in Burbank, California, Guidance Technology, Inc. (formerly Summers Gyroscope Co.) in Santa Monica, California and Bourns, Inc. in Riverside. In 1975 he returned to the family business of growing oranges.
Bill was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Riverside of 55 years. He was well known for his strong Christian faith, his love of family, his even temper, and his spirit of service.
Bill is survived of his wife of 62 years, Mary Lou (Wolters) Kerrick; children Alan of Springboro, OH, Steven (Michelle) of Plymouth, MN, and Catherine (Eric) Rupp of Mission Viejo, CA; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
